A multilingual Shopify chatbot that answers in your shopper's language

Tycoon is a multilingual chatbot for Shopify. Your customers come from all over the world: they can write in their own language, and Tycoon answers in that same language, with your real products and live prices. It works in your store's main language from day one. It supports 16 languages, including right-to-left layouts for Arabic, Urdu and Hebrew, on every plan.

How does Tycoon know which language my store uses?

Tycoon detects your store's main language from your site when you install it, then works in that language by default. You do not pick it from a list or upload translations. If the detection is not what you want, you can change the default language in the app at any time.

During setup Tycoon also reads your catalog, policies, shipping details, size guides and FAQ as you wrote them, and picks up your brand voice from those same pages. See how Tycoon works for the full setup sequence.

Will the chatbot reply to shoppers in their own language?

Yes. Tycoon answers each shopper in the language they write in, so one store can serve shoppers in several languages at once without any switching. A shopper who writes in Spanish gets a Spanish reply, and the next shopper who writes in English gets an English reply, from the same chat.

For example (an illustration, not a real store): a candle shop in Texas runs its storefront in English. A shopper writes in Spanish asking which scent suits a small bedroom. Tycoon replies in Spanish, asks one short question about the scent she prefers, and shows product cards with live prices.

That matters for support as much as for selling. Shipping questions, sizing and order status are details a shopper needs to understand clearly before buying, and they are easier to get right in the shopper's own language. Our guide to multilingual customer support on Shopify goes deeper on that side.

Can I run it as a Shopify chatbot in Spanish, French, Arabic or Japanese?

Yes, and you don't have to choose one. The same chat answers a shopper who writes in Spanish in Spanish, the next one in French in French, and a shopper who writes in Arabic in Arabic, with a right-to-left layout. There is no language switch for the shopper and no setup for you.

Product names and details come from your store. When your store already has its own translations, Tycoon uses your translated wording; when it doesn't, it answers in the shopper's language and keeps your product names as they appear in your catalog. Either way, the price and stock in the reply are read live from your store.

Does Tycoon handle right-to-left languages like Arabic and Hebrew?

Yes. For Arabic, Urdu and Hebrew, Tycoon uses right-to-left layouts, so the chat window, messages and product cards read in the direction those shoppers expect. A right-to-left reply squeezed into a left-to-right layout is hard to read, especially where prices and product names sit next to the text.

Right-to-left support is included on every plan, like every other language. The Hebrew version of this site is an example of the direction in practice.

Are prices and stock still accurate in other languages?

Yes. Price, compare-at price and stock are read live from your store for every answer, in every language. The reply's wording changes with the shopper's language, but the figures come from your store at that moment. They are never translated from memory or stored copies, because prices and stock are not stored.

The same truth checks run on every draft, whatever the language. Every figure is compared with live data and the facts you approved, and a draft whose figure does not match is blocked and rewritten before the shopper sees it. More on why that matters: AI chatbot hallucinations on prices and stock.

Can I change the default language?

Yes. Tycoon starts in the main language it detected on your site, and you can change that default language whenever you like, as often as you need. Whatever the default, each shopper still gets replies in the language they write in.

A store that sells mostly to one market but runs its storefront in another language might set the default to its shoppers' main language. You can switch it back later.

Does a multilingual chatbot still sound like my brand?

Tycoon picks up your store's voice from your own pages: formal or casual, how you address customers and how long you write. It keeps that tone when it answers. It also stays honest in every language, labelling itself as an AI assistant and offering a person from your team.

If you sell in a category with its own deciding detail, such as skin type for beauty or size and fit for apparel, Tycoon asks that one question first in the shopper's language.
