Editorial policy
This page explains who writes the articles, guides and glossary on tycoonagent.ai, how we check what we publish, and how to tell us when we get something wrong.
Who writes the content on this site?
Articles, guides, comparisons and the glossary are published by the Tycoon editorial team, the same independent team based in Israel that builds Tycoon. Bylines read "Tycoon Editorial Team" because each piece is a team product: drafted, checked against sources and reviewed before it goes live, rather than the opinion of one named writer.
We write for people who run or manage Shopify stores: owners, operators and ecommerce managers who need practical answers they can act on. Learn more about the team on the about page.
How do we research a topic?
We start from primary sources: platform documentation such as the Shopify Help Center and developer docs, regulators and official legal texts, standards bodies, published research and reputable publications. We open each source, read the relevant passage, link it where we use it and record the date we checked it.
Where a source is secondary, such as a news report about a study, we look for the original before relying on it. When we cannot find a primary source for a claim, we leave the claim out rather than repeat it.
- Find the question merchants actually ask and the sources that answer it.
- Read the primary source and note the exact passage and the date checked.
- Draft the piece with the source linked inline where the fact appears.
- Review every factual sentence against its source before publishing.
How do we handle numbers and statistics?
Every market number on this site comes from a public source that is linked in the same paragraph and listed in the page's sources with the date we checked it. If we cannot verify a number, we do not publish it. We do not round, combine or extrapolate figures into new claims the source does not make.
Worked examples use invented sample stores and products, and we label them clearly, for example "for example" or "illustration", so they are never mistaken for real results. Facts about Tycoon itself come only from our approved product documentation, and we describe what it is built to do, never what it will achieve for a particular store.
Do we use AI to write?
Yes. Content on this site is drafted with AI assistance and then reviewed by the Tycoon team against the cited sources and our product documentation before publishing. AI helps with structure and first drafts; people decide what is published, check every fact and are responsible for the result.
We apply the same rule to our writing that Tycoon applies to its replies: a language model is never the source of a fact. Claims come from sources we opened, not from what a model happens to say. This is the same idea behind grounding and our truth checks.
How do we write comparisons?
Comparisons with other tools are written to be fair and useful, not to win an argument. Each competitor fact is taken from that company's own public pages or documentation, linked, and dated with the day we checked it, because products and prices change. We describe differences factually and avoid disparaging language.
We say plainly that we make Tycoon, so readers can weigh our perspective. Tycoon is not affiliated with the companies we compare against, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Shopify. If a vendor tells us something is out of date, we check it and update the page. See the comparisons hub.
How do we correct mistakes?
If you find an error, contact us via the form on the demo page, with the page address and what you believe is wrong. We review every report, check it against the source and fix confirmed errors promptly. Privacy questions go to privacy@tycoonagent.ai.
When a correction changes the substance of a page, such as a fact, a figure or a recommendation, we update the page's last-updated date. We do not quietly rewrite claims to change their meaning.
How do we keep pages up to date?
Every article and guide shows the date it was published and the date it was last updated, and each cited source carries the date we checked it. We revisit pages when platform rules, regulations, competitor products or Tycoon's own features change, and we change the updated date only when the content changes.
Product facts, plans and prices on this site are kept in step with Tycoon's approved documentation. Current plans are always on pricing.
