About
About Tycoon
Tycoon is an AI sales associate for online stores that works with Shopify. It is built by an independent team based in Israel and is currently in early access.
What is Tycoon?
Tycoon is an AI sales associate for online stores that works with Shopify. It talks with shoppers on the store, asks what they need, suggests one to three products with a reason for each, answers everyday questions around the clock and hands off to the merchant's team when a person is needed.
On install it reads the store by itself: the catalog, the policies as the store states them, shipping settings, the brand's voice, size guides and the store's own FAQ. The merchant reviews the facts it found and approves them before it goes live. The full flow is on how it works.
Why was Tycoon built?
Tycoon was built because a sales chat is only useful if shoppers can trust it. A single invented price, a made-up discount code or a bot pretending to be a person can cost a store more than the chat earns. We designed Tycoon around three lessons: the model never supplies facts, the AI is honest, and offers are restrained.
The model is never the source of a price
Language models write fluently, and they also hallucinate. So in Tycoon the model is never the source of a price, stock state, delivery date, discount code or factual claim. Price, compare-at price and stock are read live from the store for every answer, and shop facts such as return windows come only from what the merchant approved.
An honest AI that offers a person
Shoppers deserve to know who they are talking to. Tycoon says plainly that it is an AI, the window is labelled "AI assistant", and it always offers a person from the merchant's team. Merchants cannot turn this off. More on this in AI chatbot disclosure and human hand-off.
One offer, at the right moment
A good associate does not pitch in every sentence. Tycoon makes at most one offer per reply, such as a matching add-on, a bundle or the nudge that unlocks free shipping, framed saving first and then the bonus. It makes none when the shopper is upset, skeptical or hesitant. See upsell and cross-sell.
What rules does Tycoon follow?
Tycoon follows a short set of rules, most of which apply on every plan and cannot be switched off by merchants. They protect the store's reputation and the shopper's trust, and they are built into the product rather than left to a settings page.
- Checked before sent. Every draft is checked whole before it is sent; there is no streaming. Each figure is checked against live data and approved facts, and a draft whose figure does not match is blocked and rewritten.
- You approve the facts. It may only state shop facts the merchant approved, such as shipping thresholds, return windows, delivery times and codes.
- No pressure tactics. No false urgency, fake scarcity or fake social proof. It never volunteers returns or cancellation.
- No professional advice. It does not give medical, legal, financial or safety advice; it refers to the product label, the merchant or a professional.
- Each store learns alone. Learning uses only that store's results, is never shared with other stores, and new answers need the merchant's approval. See learning.
- No training on your data. Merchant and shopper data are not used to train AI models without explicit written consent. See security.
- Measured with a holdout. On Growth (one 30-day lift test) and the Tycoon plan (continuous), results are measured with a holdout test, not by counting every sale that touched the chat.
Who builds Tycoon?
Tycoon is built by an independent team based in Israel. It is an independent app: it works with Shopify but is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Shopify. The legal entity name is not public yet, so this site does not name one; see the privacy policy for current details.
Articles and guides on this site are written by the Tycoon editorial team. How we research, cite sources and correct mistakes is described in our editorial policy.
Is Tycoon available now?
Tycoon is in early access as of October 2026. It is not yet listed on the Shopify App Store. Merchants who want to see it working can request a free personal demo on their own store, and the first founding merchants receive the launch terms described on the pricing page.
Plans, including a free plan, are listed on pricing. To see Tycoon on your own catalog, book a demo.
How can you verify it is really us?
The official Tycoon website is tycoonagent.ai, and the only public email address is privacy@tycoonagent.ai. Messages, apps or offers that claim to be Tycoon but come from another domain are not from us. Tycoon never needs your Shopify password or payment card details.
Tycoon is installed through Shopify's own permission screen and billed through Shopify, so no card data reaches us. For anything else, use the form on the demo page.
