# Tycoon

> Tycoon is an AI sales associate for Shopify stores: it learns the store by itself, asks one question before it recommends, reads price and stock live for every answer, checks every reply before sending it, and hands off to a person. Tycoon is an independent app built by a team based in Israel. Not affiliated with Shopify.

- Status: Early access (October 2026). Built by an independent team based in Israel. Not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Shopify.
- On install it learns the store by itself: catalog, policies, shipping, brand voice, size guides and FAQ. The merchant reviews and approves the facts before going live.
- Price, compare-at price and stock are read live from the store for every answer; the AI model is never the source of a price, stock state, delivery date or discount code.
- Every reply is generated whole and checked against live data and approved facts before it is sent (no streaming). A draft with a figure that doesn't match is blocked and rewritten.
- When the need is unclear it asks one short question built from the store's own catalog, then suggests one to three products, each with a reason.
- It adds products to the store's real cart when the shopper taps the button, and offers checkout in the chat.
- At most one offer per reply (a matching add-on, a bundle or a free-shipping nudge), framed saving first, then the bonus; none when the shopper is upset or hesitant.
- It answers everyday support questions, shows order status to signed-in shoppers for their own recent orders (Starter plan and up) and hands off to the merchant's team.
- It says it is an AI, never pretends to be human, and always offers a person. Merchants cannot turn this off.
- It detects the store's main language and answers each shopper in the language they write in; 16 product languages including right-to-left Arabic, Urdu and Hebrew.
- Merchant and shopper data are not used to train AI models without explicit written consent; AI providers are used for inference only.
- Revenue impact is measured with a randomized holdout (control) group; Store Manager reports cover restocks, stuck stock and what shoppers ask.
- Installs through a theme app extension in three clicks from the merchant; the storefront loader is designed to stay around 10 KB.
